The University of Tartu has nearly 3,700 employees and 14,500 students, the largest and oldest centre of academic life in Estonia. Mission of the university is to be a leading player in the development of the knowledge society and the guarantor of the continuity of Estonia. To fulfil its mission University of Tartu promotes science, education and culture and serves the society through teaching and research. University of Tartu as a national university wears responsibility for the preservation of the Estonian state and nation, ensures continuity of Estonian intellectuals, promotes and ensures preservation and development of national cultural property.

The University of Tartu is a training partner of many organizations and the largest training providers in Estonia. We offer professional in-service training courses of different lengths or competency levels of professionals, training workshops, seminars, development programs, e-courses, summer and winter university courses, lecture series and tailor-made courses all over the Estonia. The range of courses is expanded by the opportunity to participate as trainee in academic subjects.
